Assignment 3: Experiential learning
We were paired up with another student in our Honors 100 section and asked to interview each other to find out something we are each interested in or that is important to us. Then, we were to investigate an Experiential Learning opportunity in the areas of Research, Leadership, or International Engagement that would be an appropriate. My partner was Ishan. Prior to this assignment, I knew nothing about him, but I soon discovered some of his interests and goals. Though our intended majors are different---Ishan's is computer science and mine is (currently) bioengineering---, this assignment helped me as well. Some researches involving artificial intelligence also interested me. Also, since I was also curious about study abroad opportunities, investigating the different options was helpful to me. This assignment also got me to think about what I am interested in or what is important to me. These were questions I had not been asked and not considered. Like all other questions about my life, I do not have a clear answer. As of now, I am interested in traveling, learning about different cultures and views, creating solutions for diseases and disorders, and working with people. It is important to me to keep in view others and be well-informed. Throughout my journeys, I would like to keep music in my life.
